Meet our Cabinet
2019 - 2020
My name is Jason Ferrante and this year, I’m extremely grateful to have been elected as the President of Allegheny Student Government. As we enter a new year, new and old challenges present themselves to our student body. As your student government representative, I’m proud of what we were able to accomplish last year, and I’m ready to continue to push for change that you want, this year through my work on the executive board of ASG. The upcoming year has many challenges ahead, from the rising cost of an Allegheny education to meeting our 2020 sustainability goals. Our team is ready to tackle these issues head on for the benefit of the students.
My job is not only to be the President of ASG, but to be a representative for every student on our campus. My job is to always keep your best interest in mind, and it will be my promise that I will always stand with the student body.
My second goal is to make ASG and Allegheny College as transparent as possible, which I will do by always making sure to keep open communication with the student body.
If there are any concerns that arise throughout the year, please feel free to contact me or any of your class representatives and we will work hard to ensure they are heard, acted upon, and resolved to the best of our ability.
Best of luck this year!

My name is Jared McHale I am a member of the class of 2020 and I am majoring in mathematics with minors in psychology and education studies. For the past two years I have been a member of the Curriculum Committee and the College Committee Council where I worked with other students, faculty, staff, and administration. My involvement with these committees showed me just how much of a voice students can have on this campus, yet from experience I know it is not always the easiest thing to do. Serving as the Chief of Staff I hope to support the students on the College Committee Council so that they help our school improve, while also improving their own sense of efficacy.
Hello everyone! My name is Brandon Zabo and I am a sophomore here at Allegheny. I am from Wexford, Pennsylvania, near Pittsburgh, and I plan on majoring in Political Science and minoring in French. Last year, I was a Class of 2022 Senator within ASG, and during that year, I was able to serve on the Rules Committee within the organization, where we helped to sustain and create student-led clubs on campus. Now serving as Attorney General for ASG during the 2019-2020 school year, I will now lead this same committee that I became invested in last year. Overall, I hope to facilitate the maintenance of all existing clubs and activities at Allegheny, while also encouraging the creation of many new ones throughout the year. No matter your interest, I hope to be a resource in establishing it within the Allegheny community. I am very organized, motivated, and diligent, and hope that everyone on campus feels able and excited to work with ASG!
Howdy! My name is Trevor Day. I grew up in rural upstate New York. I am an Economics Major and Communication Arts Minor.
Around campus, I am a Resident Advisor in Caflisch, a member of Men's Gator Rugby, a brother of Phi Kappa Psi, and a Center for Business and Economics Fellow.
As Treasurer I plan on dedicating myself to make sure the financial process is easy for all clubs. I look forward to working with ASG and all of the clubs throughout the year.
Hi everyone! My name is Kelsey Evans and this year I will be serving as a Co-Director of Student Affairs. I am a senior majoring in political science and psychology. Currently, I am the Chief External Affairs Officer for Kappa Alpha Theta, the Vice President of Community Development for the Panhellenic Council, and a Peer Educator for the Title IX office. Previously, I’ve served on the Campus Life and Community Standards Committee that develops and drafts policy that appears in the student, faculty, and staff handbooks. In my role as Co-Director of Student Affairs, I hope to complete projects this year that are important to students and helps meet the needs of all students from diverse backgrounds.

As the Co-director of Student Affairs, I hope to improve the overall student experience on campus through creative planning, successful and thorough execution of events, and by building and strengthening campus partnerships. Most importantly I hope to improve the overall student experience on campus by listening to you! I want to always have a pulse on what’s important, what’s relevant, and what makes you excited about being a Gator.
My name is David and I hail from Erie, Pennsylvania, which is a town 45 min north of campus on the lake! I am a junior majoring in Global Health Studies with a Biology minor on a Pre-Med track. This is my second year serving on ASG as the Director of Communications and Press, and my third year in ASG, serving as Class President during my freshman year. You can usually find me in the Campus Center or in the library doing work for the various organizations I am on the executive boards for. On-campus, other than ASG, I am the Recording and Communication Secretary of Delta Tau Delta, the Social Media Intern for the Allegheny College Office of Admissions, the Brother of Hermes of Alpha Chi Omega, and an active member of the Allegheny Ski & Snowboard Club.
As well as serving as Class President, my freshman year I served as the Press Secretary, as well as the Secretary of Student Voting, and I am so excited to continue my work from last year! This year, I would really like to focus on the continuous process of rebranding our organization on campus. The largest step towards this has been the total redesign of our website last year! I will also be continuing the work on our social media platforms as well as our Bi-Weekly Emails. Also, I am on hand to help with club advertising! I'm ready to get to work this year, and hope to see you around!

Hi everyone! My name is Gabby Miller, and I am in the class of 2020. My major is Community and Justice Studies, and my minor is Global Health. I am from Meadville, so I've really valued my evolving perspective that I have on the dynamic between Meadville and Allegheny. I am heavily involved in a number of things in the community. I am the ally coordinator for the Meadville Area Teen Lounge, I am on the stewardship team for My Meadville, I am the President of I Heart Meadville, and I help out with other initiatives when I'm able to! Above all else, I value hearing everyone's voice in order to make decisions that reflect the values of our community, and I am excited to see where this goes!
