The Loop Services

Allegheny College Student Government is happy to partner with Crawford Area Transportation Authority (CATA) to offer students the use of the Loop! The Loop is a bus service that provides students with transportation around Meadville, PA. All rides on the Loop, as well as all other CATA routes, are
free of charge to Allegheny students.

We are pleased to announce that CATA has expanded their route to include Conneaut Lake!
Now, students can enjoy the beauty of Conneaut, all with the ease of riding the CATA bus for free!

"Does it Cost Anything to Ride the Loop?"

No! There is no fee for students to ride aboard all fixed routes, including the Loop and all of CATA's other routes.

"When Does the Loop Run?"

The Loop runs Wednesdays & Fridays starting at 4:00pm. This service runs between campus, downtown Meadville, Giant Eagle, The Movies at Meadville, and Wal-Mart. There is also the Night Loop, which runs Wednesdays, Fridays, & Saturdays from 10:30pm - 2:30am. This service runs between campus and downtown Meadville!

"What Happens if I have to go somewhere when the Loop isn't running?"

On days when the loop isn't running, student's are welcome to use CATA's other routes to get around the greater Meadville Area!

"Is there a shuttle service on home game days?"

Yes! The Robertson Field Shuttle runs during all home football games. This service starts one hour before the game begins, and runs until the stadium has cleared. Stops include: Brooks Walk on N. Main, Brooks on Park, and Robertson Field.
