Abdi Lugundi (he/him)
Hey, my name is Abdikadir Lugundi and I am the President of the Allegheny Student Government. I am a senior majoring in history with a minor in communication art. My goals for this year include representing the traditionally excluded voices and giving them a platform as well as strengthening community relations here at Allegheny College. Outside of ASG, I am the Founder and CEO of Young Born Leaders. I am also a brother of Theta Chi and began the Diversity, Representation, Inclusion Program or D.R.I.P. for Fraternity and Sorority Life.
Patty Gaxiola (she/her)
Hello everyone! My name is Patricia, Patty for short, Gaxiola and I am your Vice-President for this academic year. I am from Pomona, California and I’m graduating as a Philosophy major with a Global Health Studies minor. I plan to become involved in non-profit work post-graduation while obtaining a masters degree in Public Administration. Besides ASG, I am a part of the Honors Program and serve as the Secretary to Young Born Leaders (YBL), which is a non-profit based in Pittsburgh. Previously, I was tied to various CILC organizations and was a founding member of Latinas on the Rise. One thing to recognize are the odd circumstances we find ourselves in. Despite the COVID-19 challenges, we seek to better the school environment and the lives of students. I plan to strengthen the relationship between ASG and the student body by emphasizing that we’re here for you. ASG is viewed as a separate entity with no interest in the student but that is not the case. We are committed to remaining transparent with everyone in order to gain trust within the Allegheny community. Like we’ve mentioned many times before, we’re here to make the unheard voices heard. If you have any questions feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Keep your heads up!
Chief of Staff
Emma Godel (she/her)
Hello! My name is Emma Godel and it is truly an honor to serve as Allegheny Student Government’s Chief of Staff. I’ve been lucky enough to serve in the Senate for the past three years, and it’s great to have another opportunity to improve the Allegheny student experience! I’m a senior political science major double-minoring in psychology and music theory, and I hail from South Berwick, Maine, located in between Boston and Portland. After graduating, I hope to pursue a career in policy analysis and administration, with focuses in American secondary/higher education policy and electoral law. Outside of ASG, I’m involved in quite a few music ensembles (shoutout to the music department!) and I work as a Center for Political Participation (CPP) Fellow, where I work to increase civic engagement on campus. My goals this year include developing constitutional amendments to make ASG involvement easier for new members, working with the Student Affairs Committee to expand our program providing free menstrual products, and ending the negative stigma surrounding mental illness. To do this, I’m in favor of including the Crisis Text Line (741-741) on all student IDs, and implementing reforms to make the housing process more inclusive, just to name a few ideas! Any student organization works best when it hears from a variety of voices—make yours heard by emailing me at email@example.com! I’d love to work with you.

Communications & Press
Bree Gray (she/her)
Hi, my name is Bree Gray and I am a sophomore majoring in Global Health Studies with a minor in Economics. I am the Director of Communications and Press this year! I will address the lack of accessibility, inclusivity, and transparency that I noticed within the organization during my time as a senator last year. My main objective is to create and maintain an environment that empowers all students — one where students can comfortably and equitably access this organization and trust that the members of ASG will uphold values of integrity, respect and care when addressing their concerns. Aside from ASG, I am a News Editor for the Campus Newspaper and the Director of Marketing & Press Relations for Young Born Leaders, a nonprofit in Pittsburgh, PA. In addition, I am a member of several clubs, including Gator Activities Programming, PreHealth Club, Allegheny Emergency Response Organization, Allegheny Christian Outreach, International Club and A Lady's Place. Also, I am a member of the Access Allegheny Cohort at the College! If you ever need anything, feel free to send me an email at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Noah Tart (he/him)
Hello! My name is Noah Tart. I am a junior studying economics with a minor in global health studies with the intention of graduate school after graduation. In the past for ASG, I have served as a Senator for the class of 2022 as well as the Financial controller. This year I hold the dubious honor of representing the students as the director of finance. As the current director of finance, I promise to uphold all values outlined in the ASG constitution and exercise fiduciary responsibility while utilizing ethics and civility as a moral compass. Henceforth, as director of finance, my initial priority is to ensure the financial responsibility of the administration and student governments and clubs to discourage the potential dissensions of any money that rightfully belongs to the student body of Allegheny College. Moreover, it is equally imperative that all clubs and organizations receive equality and due process in the application review and approval process for all funding there for it is critical that all clubs organizations receive a fair and just budget to minimize the subjugation of any club or allowance of a monopoly by a larger club and or organization. I look forward to serving you, the student body of any college as the director of finance for the coming year.
Diversity & Inclusion
Peter Alegre (he/him)
Hi all! My name is Peter Alegre and I'm a sophomore from NYC double majoring in ESS & Political Science with a minor in Community & Justice Studies. Last year I was Class of 2023 President, but now I'm excited to serve as your Director of Diversity & Inclusion so I can be an advocate and liaison to the IDEAS Center, the Title IX Office, and the Office of Institutional Diversity. My goal is to be an effective advocate for CILC organizations, be an open resource for the student body, and to bring student concerns to the forefront of the administration and student government.
Sustainability & Environment
Willy Walker (he/him)
Hey! I am Willy Walker, a junior majoring in Environmental Science & Sustainability and Music. My hometown is outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, home of the six-time Super Bowl champions, the Pittsburgh Steelers. As Director of Sustainability and Environmental Affairs, I hope to both tackle unnecessary waste produced by the college while also helping to emphasize Allegheny’s carbon neutrality declaration made at the beginning of the year. This includes modifying the current dining situation to both meet COVID-19 safety standards and mitigate waste produced by packaging. I also hope to fix any issues the Green Box suffered from the past in order to provide a successful relaunch of the system once the pandemic allows us to jump-start the program. Aside from serving in cabinet, I am a Gator Guide in the Office of Admissions and I am principal saxophone in our college’s Wind Symphony, Wind Ensemble and Jazz Band. Environmentally, I am a member of SEA, Allegheny Birding Club, and SEA’s Sustainable Design Team. Outside of Allegheny, I am the woodwind instructor for the Deer Lakes High School Marching Band from Russellton, Pennsylvania, and I hope to begin volunteering at Tamarack Wildlife Rehabilitation Center when the pandemic lightens up! Climate change is a broad issue that will require as much help as possible. If you have suggestions for ideas to lower our campus carbon footprint, please let me know!
Bennett Westfall (he/him)
Hi! I am Bennett Westfall, a Sophomore from Fort Worth, TX. I am majoring in Political Science and minoring in Computer Science. As your Director of Organizational Affairs, I plan on helping our clubs and our school in setting up the events that are so important for the happiness and wellness of our school and students, while still staying safe during this unprecedented time.
Elias Bullock-Moreno (he/him)
Hi! My name is Elias Bullock Moreno and I am a sophomore from Oberlin, Ohio. I am a communication arts major and a history minor. My main focus this year will be on building and maintaining strong relationships with our friends and neighbors in Meadville.
